The Michel Callihoo Nation Society has reached an important milestone in the ongoing work to restore Michel Band #472.

Following the review of our formal submission under Section 17 of the Indian Act, Indigenous Services Canada has been directed to begin working with MCNS toward a proposed agreement for reinstatement. This marks a significant step forward after generations of work by Michel descendants.

As discussions with Canada move forward, MCNS remains committed to providing clear, credible, and transparent updates to descendants. Our focus is on helping everyone understand the process, the decisions ahead, and what these developments mean for the future of the Michel Nation.

We'll continue sharing news, educational resources, community engagement opportunities, and ways for descendants to get involved.
